They were so fresh and tasty.

We had other things and all were very delicious. The food is a bit salty side, which is perfect for those who enjoy drinking sake or Sapporo beer. 🙂

I was particularly impressed by their focus on seasonal and local products.

In Japan, there are four distinct seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Each season has its own seasonal foods. By incorporating these seasons into Japanese food, we are not only making the food tasty, but we are also giving people a sense of the four seasons through our meals.

The traditional diet of Japan since ancient times has been to eat what is grown in the climate and season of the year. This has helped the body to resist seasonal illnesses such as colds and epidemics.

I would recommend zest as a Japanese restaurant with a Japanese food concept and well prepared seasonal Canadian ingredients.
