Today’s theme is “Lavender”.

We were first taught about the basic benefits of the oil, how to use it, and what to watch out for with essential oils. We were also taught a few applications with essential oils, which will be continued in detail in the second and third workshops.

The next step was to compare the scents of more than 10 other oils and try to combine the scents.

It’s interesting that essential oils have very different “like” and “dislike” scents for each person.

We made two kinds, one with lavender and the other with our own favorite essential oil.

Malayan salt is pretty in pink. Salt that can be extracted from the Himalayas because they used to be an ocean. Amazing when you think about it!

I made one with “Lavender and Clary Sage” and the other with “Grapefruit, Hinoki and Rose”. Bath salt warmed my body and the scent was soothing. My children were also very happy. (Use a much smaller amount for the children).

The workshop was full of discoveries about the diversity of essential oils. At the workshop on February 13, we will learn about the seven scent systems and oil combinations to make room sprays.

Thank you for participating the workshop!
