Essential Oil Workshop 2 -How to Make Room Sprays

We held our essential oil workshop. The theme this time was scent strains and blending.

This is the time of year when we look forward to spring. The cold days are still here.  We tend to get sick around. The best oil for this time of year is citrus oil.  Oranges and lemons are great for lifting your spirits and making you feel better, according to Shiho.

After the explanation about the types of essential oils and their characteristics, we learned to make room sprays.

She provided us with a glass jar so that we could make it again and again.

Each of us chose our favorite scent and blended it. I used orange oil, which was given to each of us as a gift, and cypress, which has a calming scent.

After we finished making them, we compared the aroma of each one. It’s interesting how each one smells different, even though it has orange in it!

I was happy with the two types of orange and cypress, but I added a small amount of geranium based on other people’s scents. adding the third type gave the scent more depth.  We discoverd what scents we like, and now we know which of the many oils to choose and buy.

The smell of children’s wet shoes has been a problem in our small entryway. I don’t want to use Fabreeze because of its chemical smell. Now the aroma spray gives off a nice scent when you enter the house.

The next workshop will be held on March 13. The theme will be learning about the benefits of essential oils and making roll-ons.
