I’ve been suffering from hay fever this time of year for the past two years, so I haven’t had time to enjoy the beautiful flowers and plants. My hay fever lessened after I started doing certain things.
Here is an easy way that I have been doing.
Causes of Hay Fever

Hay fever is one type of allergic rhinitis, and is called “seasonal allergic rhinitis” because the onset season is limited.
It is said that the cause is due to inheritance of the allergic constitution of the parents and inhalation of pollen over a long period of time, in other words, both heredity and environment are involved, but this has not yet been clarified.
Cedar pollen is said to be the most common cause of hay fever. However, cedar is a tree that has been in Japan since ancient times and is familiar to Japanese people. Why is it a cause of hay fever? It is said that it takes cedar trees 30 to 50 years to produce pollen. In Japan, many of the trees were burned down in the war, so the relatively fast-growing cedar trees were aggressively planted throughout the country. It is said that the cedar trees that were planted in this way grew in unison and eventually began to release pollen all at once, and the large amount of pollen may have had an adverse effect on people’s constitutions.
It is thought that this and the westernization of the diet, which occurred at about the same time, may have contributed to the increase in hay fever.
Benefits of Raw Honey

Raw honey is unheated honey that has not been heat-treated. Raw honey is unheated honey that has not been heat-treated, so it retains the natural benefits and ingredients of ripe honey.
・Enzymes, vitamins, and minerals
・Calcium, iron, lactic acid bacteria, oligosaccharide, gluconic acid
・Nutritious pollen, propolis, royal jelly, etc.
These nutrients help prevent aging, colds, immunity, anti-inflammatory effects, tooth decay, and fat burning (best before bed). It is also rich in vitamins and minerals, so it is expected to have a beautiful skin effect.
How to get the most out of raw honey.
Lick the local raw honey every day.
That’s it.
It’s important that it’s local, not just any raw honey. Local raw honey contains a small amount of pollen from local plants and flowers, which is supposed to be good for hay fever.
It also has an immediate effect. When I feel my eyes are a little itchy today, I can lick a spoonful and the itchiness will be relieved.

The honey is not heat-treated, so it does not have that stinging throat sensation that is unique to honey. I enjoy licking a spoonful of it every morning. When I have time, I sometimes add it to my morning white lemon water. The only thing to keep in mind is not to put it in hot water. You’ll lose the benefits of the unheated treatment! So I add it to slightly cooled white water.
If you suffer from hay fever, you should definitely try this.
Raw honey precautions
Raw honey may be contaminated with botulinum bacteria, so if an infant with an inadequate intestinal environment ingests it, he or she may contract infant botulism. It is not a problem for adults, but please do not give it to babies under one year old.
Also, heating will reduce the original flavor and enzymes of raw honey by half.
My recommendation for raw honey.
I live in Vancouver, so I use the raw honey that is available in Vancouver. I have tried many different kinds, but the raw honey here is very flavorful and smooth.
