2020 was a crazy year.
I’m sure you’re trying to find various ways to spend time with your family, but if you refrain from going out for such a long time, your mind and body may become unbalanced due to the unfamiliar lifestyle…
It was a chance to do something you’ve never done before. It can be surprisingly fun.

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could take care of yourself?
So, in two parts, Tomomi, an acupuncturist and herbalist at Balance Botanical, will introduce acupuncture points and herbs for physical and mental fatigue.
We will introduce acupressure points that are effective for “stress, anxiety, depression”, “stiff neck and shoulders, tired eyes” and “boosting immunity”.

– When you wake up in the morning, in a sleeping position, slowly press on the upper abdomen (midway between the midriff and belly button, where it gets hard) while exhaling. Herbs and Food
– Teas such as chamomile, lavender, lemon balm, catnip, linden flower, etc. (one type or a mixture of several) can help calm the mood and regulate the stomach.
Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1 to 2 teaspoons of herbs, cover, wait 10 minutes, strain and drink.
If you feel the early symptoms of a cold, drink several cups of these teas or a mixture of equal parts peppermint, yarrow, and elder flower while hot to help with sweating, which often improves overnight.
– Be mindful to include bitter and sour flavors in your diet, keep the amount of food you eat to eight portions, and avoid the sweetness of white sugar. (If you are experiencing lethargy, coldness, headache, dizziness, mood swings, or difficulty concentrating, be especially careful about the amount of refined sugar you consume.)
– Taking something sweet and sour in the morning (such as warm water with a squeeze of lemon and honey dissolved in it) will wake up your digestive system.
In addition, people with hay fever often see improvement when they stop eating dairy products.
– Tangy herbal spices (basil, shiso, thyme, oregano, marjoram, etc.) strengthen lung function and the digestive system. Incorporate them into your cooking frequently.
– Wash your hands and gargle when you get home from work. 1/2 cup water or green tea with a pinch of sea salt (or 15 drops of tincture such as echinacea, dandelion root, goldenseal, etc. if available) and gargle for 30 seconds.
Do a nasal rinse with the same solution once a night.
